Overview edit · view history
Pi Studios, LLC. is a development studio founded by Robert Erwin, John Faulkenbury, Rob Heironimus, Dan Kramer and Peter Mack in Plano, Texas (USA). Rather than creating their own IP, they have mainly been assisting other companies with additional development or ports to other platforms.
The first commercial work includes additional development on the expansion Call of Duty: United Offensive (2004) and contributions to Call of Duty 2 (2005) for Xbox 360 and PC. They also worked along with Gray Matter Interactive Studios, Inc. and Treyarch Invention, LLC on Call of Duty: Big Red One (2005) and Call of Duty 3 (2006), including the Bravo Multiplayer Map Pack for the latter.
In 2007 the Windows version of Halo 2 was released, with the map editor and the new multiplayer packs designed by Pi Studios. In the same year the PS2 and Wii ports of the musical simulation Rock Band were completed. For Pandemic Studios, LLC they designed the PS2 version of Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, with major differences to the title for other platforms. They contributed to Call of Duty: World at War (2008) with additional development on the mission Blowtorch and Corkscrew.
In 2009 the company contributed to Wolfenstein. In 2010 Pi Studios assisted in the development of the blockbuster Call of Duty: Black Ops and they ported Quake III Arena/Quake Live for XBLA as Quake Arena Arcade.
