NuvoStudios was founded as a developer of web content for clients such as eCast and Pearson Television before the company shifted to the then-new field of wireless games, becoming an early developer in that field in the US. The company was the first to port Bejeweled/Diamond Mine to mobile platforms, and created the original Jamdat Solitare game for Jamdat. Games were developed for numerous publishers, including Jamdat, Disney/ESPN and THQ.
