Overview edit · view history

Bubble Boy Ltd. was an independent development studio founded in 1997 in the UK by Alex Jakes and John Rees. They met when working together at Cambridge Animation Systems Ltd, a company producing high-end cartoon animation software for the television and film industries. In January 2000 Midas Interactive Entertainment Ltd announced to own a 50% share of the studio.

According to the company website the studio contributed to the Windows version of Castrol Honda Superbike Racing and did the PlayStation port for the game. Other titles the studio is said to be involved with include Castrol Honda Superbike and Super 1 Karting Simulation, likely with additional development to assist Interactive Entertainment.

After 2002, the company's website disappeared and the studio seems to have vanished. Alex Jakes is likely to have reappeared as a programmer at Frontier Developments Ltd.
