Corel Corporation is recognized internationally as an award-winning developer and marketer of productivity applications, graphics and Internet software. The company was incorporated in 1985.
Corel's product line includes CorelDRAW, Corel WordPerfect Suite, Corel Office Professional, CorelVIDEO and CorelCAD. Corel's products run on most operating systems, including: Windows, Macintosh, UNIX, MS-DOS, OpenVMS and OS/2 and are consistently rated among the strongest in the industry.
The company ships its products in over 17 languages through a network of more than 160 distributors in 70 countries worldwide. Corel is traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (symbol-COS) and the NASDAQ - National Market System (symbol-COSFF).
In 1997 Corel Corporation sold its CD HOME COLLECTION to
Hoffmann + Associates Inc., a Toronto based developer, publisher and distributor. The collection included over 60 multimedia titles, including many games. The sale of the Corel ChemLab was part of the deal. Corel acquired a minority interest in Hoffmann + Associates, as well as an ongoing royalty stream over a specific time period.
