G5 Software is a Russian development studio founded in 2001 by Vlad Suglobov, Alexander Tabunov and Sergey Shultz.

In 2002 the studio released its first title for PC, Red Shark, published by Buka Entertainment and subsequently licensed to more than 15 countries all over the world, including Japan, Germany, and the UK. The same year, G5 Software released its first title for Qualcomm BREW wireless platform, Fight Hard 3D, brought by Reaxion to Verizon Wireless, AllTel and U.S.Cellular in USA, and Telstra in Australia. Ever since, the company has been working on both mobile and PC games.

In 2005 a group of Scandinavian investors acquires a stake in G5 and it then becomes part of the the Swedish holding company G5 Entertainment AB.
