Established in June 1986, Now Production is one of Japan's largest contract development and outsource companies. They are based in the Chuo ward of Osaka, and have strong and long-standing ties with both Namco and Hudson, having produced titles in numerous well-known franchises such as Adventure Island, Katamari Damacy, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Splatterhouse. The company's first release was the Famicom port of Metro Cross.

As of October 2010, the company employs 227 people between its main Osaka office and two Tokyo offices.
