Press Play ApS was a development studio based in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was founded in 2006 by Mikkel Thorsted, Rune Dittmer, and Ole Teglbjærg. Its first title, Max & the Magic Marker, was released in February 2010. Press Play was acquired by Microsoft in June 2012. On 7th March 2016 Microsoft announced development on Project Knoxville was ceased and the studio would be closed.
The developers went on and founded Lightbulb as a new, independent studio.
