Dan Illowsky is a game programmer. He worked on several IBM PC games with Michael Abrash under the Funtastic label.
Later Illowsky became an independent computer consultant for the last 6 years. He wrote parts of the Windows 95 OS for Microsoft, helped develop a custom handwriting recognition processor with Intel, and ported the Xerox Star OS to run under Windows. He also optimized the libraries that RSA Data Security uses in their encryption products, and worked on MPEG related hardware and software to do fast video and audio decompression.
