Gareth joined the game industry as a tester for Climax Solent Ltd before moving to Design (Sudeki). In February 2004 he joined Climax Group as Project Controller and worked directly with Gary Liddon to oversee the measurement and tracking of project status for all projects in the group.

During late 2004 and early 2005 Gareth worked as a Producer at Climax London (W.I.T.C.H. (GBA) and Delta Force: Black Hawk Down (Xbox)) before leaving to join Xen Services, Ltd. as COO, working in a production management capacity as part of the Xen Group team on Microsoft's first-party titles including: Crackdown, Too Human and Fable II.

Along with Gary Liddon and Billy Thomson, he formed Ruffian Games in Dundee, working on Crackdown 2, Kinect Star Wars, Nike+ Kinect Training and more.

He left Ruffian Games in 2013 and formed Triple Eh? Ltd, releasing Lumo in 2016 as well as music for the OST of Llamasoft's TxK and Polybius.
