Jason Habel is an Austin, TX based QA professional with over two decades experience in the electronic entertainment industry. He started his career at Origin Systems during the early years of PC gaming, working on the Wing Commander series and other titles with Chris Roberts and Warren Spector. Later, Jason worked at Blue Byte Software, leading the quality assurance and support efforts on the "Settlers" series. In 2009, Jason re-joined Warren Spector as QA Lead at Junction point studios and shipped "Epic Mickey" for the Wii.

Jason's QA experience extends outside the gaming world. He's performed software and hardware quality assurance at companies like Cirrus Logic, AMD, Frog Design, 3M, Catapult Systems, and Freescale, testing everything from user interfaces to embedded operating systems to databases to audio chips. His experience includes over 8 years of direct QA management experience, as well as extensive technical writing and business analysis experience.
