Markus Kark held a job as a plastic locksmith and was dooing 3D-Graphics as a hobby during that time. In 1998, he got a freelancer job in the gaming industry.

He animated a lot of human beings and monsters for Piranha Bytes' 'Gothic'. During the development he became familiar with tool-programming. After Gothic he started working on 'Gothic 2' in 2001 as a hybrid-modeller-and-coder but then changed to full-time java-programming for MobileScope AG.

He joined the Wings Simulations team on July, 1st 2002, taking up his role as one of their 3D Artists.
