Biography edit · view history

From 1997 until Mr. Vetsch went to PhoneAutomation.com, Inc., he worked for GT Interactive Software, which was to become Infogrames Inc., and finally Atari Inc. Here, Michael helped Mr. Foscolo build a complete internally-based, Technical Support and Customer Service Call Center, eliminating three outsourced, Call Center facilities. This included consolidating all support services to Seattle for several video game companies then owned by Infogrames Inc.

During his years with Atari, Michael was promoted to Manager and became responsible for the day-to-day operations of the entire Call Center, including personnel, websites, and Automated Systems which supported over 2000, current and legacy Atari/Infogrames/GT Interactive products.

In 1995 to 1997, Michael worked for Virgin Interactive Entertainment in Irvine, CA. Here Michael met Mr. Foscolo and began on a path that would associate him with Automated Systems technology, phone automation services and all its benefits. With Virgin, Michael fielded technical support calls, created documents to be used by Virgin's, 900 hint line, performed as a Technical Advisor within the department as well as a traveling Support Engineer for Virgin's marketing tours which stretched across the USA.

Beginning in January of 1990, Michael spent 5 years with Nintendo of America as a Game Play Counselor, member of Team Nintendo, and a member of the Elmo Team. As a Game Play Counselor, Michael learned the intricacies of dealing with live customer contacts through tens of thousands of calls over his tenure. He provided game hints for over 1000 Nintendo and 3rd party licensed products. As a member of Team Nintendo, Michael represented Nintendo and it's products on promotional stops all across America. In his last role at Nintendo, Michael worked with the Elmo Team to create documents for Nintendo's other 500 plus Game Counselors and Customer Service Agents to use as their text when fielding customer calls.

Before becoming involved in the Interactive Entertainment Industry, Michael studied at the Bailey School of Broadcasting in Seattle. Here, in 1986 he earned a diploma in Broadcast Journalism, and spend several years working as a disc jockey both on and off the air. Michael grew up in Nome, Alaska.
