Biography edit · view history

Mickaël first contact with computers was at the local club around 1982. Soon after he bought an Oric Atmos, started to learn programming, and eventually wrote some small games in BASIC language.

In 1986, the old 8 bits machine was replaced by an Atari 520 ST, and he soon started writing demos using the pseudonym "Dbug II" first in the crew "TTZP Inc" then in "NeXT" where some famous demos like "The Charts", and "The Phaleon GigaDemo" were released. With a friend he also started coding a puzzle-plate former game (Euphoria) for a small company called Expose Software.

He got his first position in the video game industry in 1995 by joining Adeline Software where he first worked on Time Commando (both on PC and PlayStation) and then on the PlayStation port of Little Big Adventure.

In 1997 he joined HelioVisions productions (renamed later Doki Denki Studios), where he did some help on Hexplore, but mostly worked on the technology that would be used on the Smurfs.

In 1998, he moved to Eden Studios and worked on game code and tools for the games V-Rally 2 and 3, Kya: Dark Lineage, Titeuf, Test Drive Unlimited and Alone in the Dark.

Mickaël joined Funcom in 2005, and work on the tools used in the Age of Conan and The Secret World massively multiplayer games.
