James Arnold Taylor began his career at the age of 16 in his hometown of Santa Barbara as a stand-up comic and disc jockey. He moved to Los Angeles in 1992 to write, voice, and produce comedy for Premiere Radio Networks. In his time there he created over 8000 bits that were heard on radio stations worldwide.
Because of James' versatile wide vocal range, he has had a successful career in every facet of the Voice-Over Industry: Promos and Trailers, Commercials, Animation, Video Games, and Voice Doubling for celebrities from David Spade to Billy Bob Thornton. He currently can be heard nightly on the Fox Broadcast Network doing any number of voices, most notably their LOL Sunday Night line-up.
In Animation, he took over for Michael J. Fox starring in the Disney sequel Atlantis Milo's Return, co-starred with Carrie Anne Moss in The Animatrix, is Obi-Wan Kenobi in Cartoon Network's Star Wars: Clone Wars, and has guest starred on numerous hit cartoons, such as The Powerpuff Girls, What's New Scooby Doo?, and Codename: Kids Next Door.
On the Video Game front, James has been in over 30 titles, most notably Tidus in the Final Fantasy X series; Ratchet in Ratchet & Clank 2 & 3; Gabe in Syphon Filter 3; Gingy, Prince Charming, the Big Bad Wolf, and many other characters in Shrek 2; and Mysterio in the Spiderman 2 game.
James enjoys keeping his talents in the voice-over arena, but was thrilled to have a small role in the Miramax film Comic Book: The Movie, along with many of his voice-over heroes.
Much of his work is done out of his home studio in Los Angeles where he lives with his wife and manager, Allison.
