Tim Morten is, as of September 2022, the CEO of Frost Giant Studios, which he co-founded with fellow industry veteran Tim Campbell in 2020.
Tim M. also serves as production director of the studio’s real-time strategy game, Stormgate.
Before founding Frost Giant Studios, Morten served as production director for the StarCraft franchise at Blizzard Entertainment, which he joined in 2014. During this time, his team released the award-winning Legacy of the Void expansion.
Morten began his career at Activision as an engineer, then working as a producer and director on games including Return to Zork, the MechWarrior 2 series, and Heavy Gear. He then founded Savage Entertainment, serving as CEO and producer for various licensed titles and co-productions, including games based on Transformers, Star Wars, Marvel, and He-Man. He also contributed to various games that served as training tools for the US Department of Defense. At Victory Games, Tim served as Director of Product Development on Command & Conquer (cancelled in 2013), and he briefly led pre-production at Sony Santa Monica Studio for God of War.
Tim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego.
