Biography edit · view history
It was 1965 in Lille, northern France, during his 10th birthday party with a glass of champagne in his hand that Patrick Dublanchet discovered his vocation: “I want to be an actor!” he explained to his unbelieving mother.
However ten years later the theaters of Paris discovered Patrick Dublanchet. Destiny also brought Catherine [Vagnon] into his life.
“One November evening”, he tells with emotion, “I was getting ready to play Rodrigue and she was Chimène”. Now they belong together like Romeo and Juliet. For her, he became a dramatic author. He wrote roles for her without forgetting his own acting career. In 1982 at the end of a memorable ONE MAN SHOW where he plays the role of a programmer arguing with a program publisher, an admirer presented him with a LASER 200. With that, Patrick went from dramatic writing to computer game writing for the Amstrad CPC 464 with Amélie Minuit. 3D MEGACODE followed. His latest game, Eden Blues, written together with Catherine, puts him among the select few programmers who are not afraid to try out the most unheard of ideas.
