Gil Colgate was born in 1960. Gil attended Yale University (1978-1982) and worked in finance in New York before becoming disillusioned with corporate life and moving to California to work in games. Gil's first project was a port of Balance of Power to the Apple II.
At that time Gil's father asked him "When are you getting a real job?" However the industry has matured and he no longer asks that question.
Gil worked at Epyx, EA, and Namco. To date Gil's most well received game was Pac-Man World I.
He now works at EA and have contributed to Sims Pets and My Sims.
