On 21st July 2010, Square Enix announced that Mike Fischer would become the new president and CEO of the U.S. division. Previously he was the General Manager of US Marketing, Xbox and Games for Windows at Microsoft. He got his start at SEGA in Tokyo 20 years ago. His resume also includes stints working on the Xbox in the U.S. and Japan, and at Namco, during the height of the PlayStation 1 and 2.
