Developer Biography
Jon Parise is an experienced engineering leader, technologist, and all-around hacker. He's currently focused on mobile products and the technologies that power them.
He recently ran the platform engineering team at Booyah, the location-based mobile games company. Prior to that, he was the Director of Engineering at Brightkite, the location-based social network. And before that, he was a Senior Software Engineer at Electronic Arts, where he worked on a number of game titles including The Sims 3, The Sims Online, Ultima Online, and The Lord of the Rings: The White Council.
He was also a contributing author for Game Engine Gems and Massively Multiplayer Game Development 2.
Jon earned a bachelors degree in Information Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a masters degree in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University.
