Ross Koningstein was a grad student at Stanford's Aerospace Robotics Laboratory when he contributed to the development of two games: Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Trainer II; and Car & Driver Test Track. Both development efforts were led by Ned Lerner.

After he finished grad school, he founded CriSys Limited, a company that provides map-based 9-1-1 emergency dispatch software and systems based in Markham, Ontario, Canada.

After 8 years, he got homesick for California's San Francisco Bay Area and moved back.
