Sometimes credited as "Ted" or even "T'Ed" Stark, Ed Stark has been a game designer since 1990. He began his career working as an Editor, then Designer, then Lead Designer for West End Games, a board game and roleplaying game company in the tabletop industry.
In 1995, he joined TSR as a Lead Designer in the Birthright Dungeons & Dragons group. After the TSR/Wizards of the Coast merger, Ed became an Associate Brand Manager and, later, a Creative Director for the Dungeons & Dragons project group, during the development of the Dungeons & Dragons Third Edition and v.3.5 rules. He later served as the Special Projects Manager for Wizards of the Coast/Hasbro, overseeing the licensing--in particular, computer game licensing--for Dungeons & Dragons games.
In 2007, Ed joined the startup company Red 5 Studios working as a Game Designer on the yet-to-be-released Firefall game. He contributed to the systems design of the project but his primary role was as the Content Designer and Writer for the project. In 2010, Ed left Red 5 Studios and joined Vigil Games/THQ where he served as a Senior Game Designer and Writer on the Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium Online MMORPG.
In 2011, Ed moved again, joining Zenimax Online Studios as a Senior Designer on Elder Scrolls Online. He currently lives in Maryland with his wife.
