Ever since he played his first adventure game, The Secret of Monkey Island, Ted has been intrigued with the ability for computers to act as a medium for artistic expression and creative storytelling. At the age of 13, Ted picked up his first programming book and taught himself how to program. Later, he created several shareware screensavers and was amazed when people were actually willing to pay money for them!
Ted began to realize that programming itself was an artform: the computer was an infinite block of stone, and the code was the chisel. Having worked at Intel, Microsoft, Evans & Sutherland, Maxis/Electronic Arts, Blue Tongue/THQ, and LucasArts he has always wanted to create programs that people enjoy using.
Besides programming, Ted's other interests include origami, anime, ping pong, snowboarding, traveling, and the occasional extreme sport. After graduating from Duke University with a B.S. in Computer Science and a certificate in Neuroscience, Ted obtained a Master of Entertainment Technology at Carnegie Mellon University in 2004.
