Mariko Ohara is a Japanese sci-fi author. As a student, she won the Hayakawa SF Contest. She's published numerous novels starting in 1982. Four of her works have been published in English, most recently her 1990 novel Hybrid Child (translation by Jodie Beck, published in 2018 by University of Minnesota Press).
