Eric is an expert game engine developer possessing a wide range of knowledge and experience in many areas including mathematics, graphics, animation, and physics. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Mathematics.
Eric is the author of the books "Foundations of Game Engine Development" and "Mathematics for 3D Game Programming and Computer Graphics", and he is the editor of the "Game Engine Gems" series. His writing also includes many contributions to the "Game Programming Gems" series and "Introduction to Game Development".
Eric is currently the director of engineering at Terathon Software where he works on the Tombstone Engine. He has previously worked in the advanced technology group at Naughty Dog, and long before that was the lead programmer for the fifth installment of Sierra Studio's popular RPG adventure series Quest for Glory.
