Developer Biography

Darrell Benvenuto is currently a partner in both Collision Studios, Inc. and Digital Octane, Inc., two Software Development Houses, each with studios in Los Angeles and the Philippine Islands. These roles encompass working closely with talent, filmmakers, Publishers, IP Holders, Licensors and other Developers, recruiting, hiring, firing, vendor relations, contract negotiation, location development, leasing and purchase of real property, building out and equipping new studio space from bare concrete to finished, furnished cubicles, all IT and networking, including the specification, purchase and installation of switches, routers, servers and all necessary computing infrastructure to do business, cabling, wiring, installing and configuring VoIP phone networks and PBX systems, preparation of numerous legal documents in both the US and Asia, extensive business development efforts here and abroad, overseeing convention marketing efforts (GDC, E3, etc), creative design, game design, proposal writing, developing / giving elaborate presentations, extensive international travel and a host of executive administrative tasks from accounting oversight to relationship management.

Prior to engagement in this capacity, Darrell worked for 12 years as the CEO of Vision Entertainment, producing both published content and 2D/3D Animation, managing several teams of animators in the USA and abroad. He has directed and produced a number of commercials and animations for television and video. Also possess extensive contacts in overseas animation houses (largely in the Philippine Islands), and at one point could field over 100 animators in South-East Asia alone, working in up to 18 fields, capable of producing feature-film-length content for film, HDTV, SDTV or Flash. Experience in managing voice talent, scriptwriters, producing storyboards, animatics, developing exposure sheets, supervising keyframe animation, inbetweening, scanning, digital coloring, composition, editing, sound sweetening and post-production.
