Renaud Galand was born in Brussels, Belgium in October of 1981. In the fall of 2001 he took his studies to Albert Jacquard College where he learned visual arts and computer graphics. At 23, Renaud lent a job as a freelance at Liquid Development. It was a dream come true as he found himself suddenly working with artists he had looked up for years. The same year, he became a college-level professor in Game Art at Albert Jacquard, the college where he made his previous studies. He was also hired by Fresh 3D as a level designer and got the opportunity to work on some different PS2 projects.
Renaud also worked as senior character artist at 10tacle Studio Belgium on a couple of Xbox 360/PC games. In 2009, he decided to make the jump and got hired by the company Blizzard Entertainment where he still currently works as a lead character artist on Overwatch.
