Fernando Herrera founded First Star Software in 1982.
He was the first recipient of the Atari Program Exchange's "Atari Star" award for the educational title My First Alphabet.
Herrera was originally a programmer for First Star creating titles such as Astro Chase. He moved on to game design and project manager roles. He left the company circa 1988-89.
He went on to create programmes for businesses including AT&T and worked in Internet marketing.
