John McCambridge was born in Ballycastle, Ireland. In the 90's he moved to France after finishing his studies in Design. After leaving France he went to the UK to Swordfish, a Vivendi studio, in 2006. He now resides in Warsaw Poland working for People Can Fly, part of Epic games.
John worked as a Concept Artist for Cryo and as Artistic Director for Arxel Tribe. He has also worked for Humanoïdes Associated, Wanadoo, Ontario and Bouygues Telecom.
His Irish origins naturally brought him to projects of nature Arthurienne, Celt and Viking and he particularly enjoys universes rich in history and science fiction. He is most proud of his work in The Tales of Arthur, because it is there that he could express his Celtic culture and heritage. His interest in Celtic art is fully expressed in his illustrations for Soleil Celtic Comic book covers in France.
