Obscure cred: On first day with DirectPlay team at Microsoft discovered that DirectPlay was listening for connections on 47624 and not 2234 like everyone thought. Reason? 47624 = BA08, which is the byte-order-reversed version of 08BA, which = 2234. Someone forgot that the network is big-endian. It was too late to do anything about it, so DirectPlay's been listening on the "wrong" port ever since.
