Emil Salim has been a prominent artist in the gaming industry since 2009. He has released multiple mobile/casual gaming titles under Disney Interactive, Booyah, Inc. and various other companies. Emil was a graduate from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco where he won the award for "Best Visual Development" in the Academy's Spring Show 2007.
The mobile gaming boom in 2009 jumpstarted Emil's career in the industry. He started with a small online hidden objects game called Friskies' Wonderland Quest which he developed under Mondo Studios. After which, Emil worked on multiple facebook gaming titles for Aftershock Innovations and LolApps. But his first breakthrough title came after he joined Booyah Inc. and released the hugely successful Nightclub City, a game that was nominated for "Social Networking Game of the Year" at the 14th Interactive Achievement Award by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences. After the huge success of Nightclub City, Emil was given his first leading role in developing My Town 2, a sequel to Booyah's location-based mobile game.
After the release of My Town 2 in 2011, Emil decided to move on from Booyah Inc. and began his career in Disney Interactive where he developed and released multiple casual/ mobile titles including Disney Gnome Village, Botkin's Hidden Cove, Alice in Wonderland - A New Champion, Disney Solitaire, "Kitchen Scramble" and "Dodo Pop". Emil continues to develop multiple mobile and console titles for Disney Interactive today.
