Karen Lauder is the Co-President and Co-Founder of Abandon Entertainment and Chairman of Abandon's film production company, Abandon Pictures. She has served as Executive Producer on all of Abandon's films: Off the Lip, Pros and Cons and Scotland PA, for which she also oversaw the theatrical release in conjunction with domestic distributor Lot 47, which stars Maura Tierney, James LeGros, Christopher Walken and Andy Dick, and was released to theaters in February, 2002; Oxygen, starring Adrien Brody and Maura Tierney; The Time Shifters, starring Casper Van Dien and Catherine Bell; and Mexico City, starring Stacy Edwards.

As Co-President of Abandon Entertainment, Karen helped develop the concept for both Init Flix and Init Games, creating the storyline for the first Web-episode, Serena's Night Out, with Director/Producer Deborah Marinoff. Along with her partner Marcus Ticotin, Karen has guided Abandon's expansion through its deals with Dimension Pictures and producer Scott Faye, as well as Abandon's partnering with Tidex Technologies and investment in Mythic Entertainment.

Before co-founding Abandon Entertainment, Karen was a partner in the multimedia production company Revolutionary Alternatives in Video Entertainment (R.A.V.E), formed by Adam P. Kennedy, and specializing in children's programming, alternative education, and audio information systems. She has co-created and co-written nationally aired programs for network, cable, and public television, among them, Africa/U.S.A: The Connection and The World Connection. Karen also co-wrote the screenplays Twist and The Curia with her writing partner, Adam P. Kennedy.

Prior to her partnership in R.A.V.E, Karen was an investment banker with Metropolitan Asset Group, a division of Insignia Financial Corporation, Inc. Karen was a Senior Associate in the firm's real estate syndication division.
