Biography edit · view history
Stewart Megan is a semi-retired IT professional with nearly 40 years years experience who began life on ferrite core machines (LEO III) that filled a 100 x 40 ft room and had a memory capacity of 4k ;) and ended up working with others at Netscape to develop a substantial chuck of the mechanics of internet LDAP server technology.
A lifelong gamer, he worked at Microprose/Spectrum Holobyte for almost two years and ran the QA Test Laboratory team there, working on several games. Since semi-retirement, his interests took him to Asteroid Detection Tracking. Having discovered 5 FMO's through the Spacewatch Project at Kitt Peak, asteroid 1999 AV1 was renamed "stumegan" in his honor in 2004. Until recently he ran various game servers and the FMO Chess Club.. And yep, he is still a gamer when not writing novels or search the skies for asteroids ;)
