please help. I’m looking for an early 1980s big box computer game that came with a physical, faux-aged, fold-out paper map that featured South America, with Bogotá specifically labeled on the map. It likely had an adventure or treasure hunting theme. Any ideas? Thanks

Not sure, there are a group of games set in south americe that might be worth looking at here:

I did not find any covers showing a physical map like what you describe, but there is a screenshot from 'Blue Boy' which seems to have Bogotá marked on a world map. https://www.mobygames.com/game/115306/blue-boy/screenshots/amiga/947294/

Thanks for this, The Mystery of the Java Star looks close, but from pictures can’t 100 percent tell. The version with the map I believe had black puffy casing. Thanks again.
