Though it's an extension of a concept from Konami's Amidar, I think it's one of the best games of the Pac-Man phase, which I guess was nearing its end when this came out, gaming moving on from single screen stages with small sprites to scrolling, larger figures and end of level bosses. Now there's a big jump in difficulty at level 3, you have to give it a green undercoat then a red coat and there are two of the big, fast moving, green brushes to avoid. I like stages 2 and 4 with the paint cans, to complete the paint job you have to be careful not to collect a new can until you're out of or close to out of paint to get the full benefit of it. I mean you can get away with wasting a few cans, but you need to be a bit careful to keep from using all the paint before getting all the squares.
I still haven't managed to pass level 5 where you must apply three coats of paint, green then red then brown. This is the closest I've gotten and my highest score. Going by the instructions that's as far as the game goes, there's no four coats level though the game may just repeat after level five, perhaps moving on to the next difficulty level (there is Novice, Intermediate and Expert).
Was finally able to do all three coats and pass level 5!
