Even though after wave 3 you've about seen all the game has to offer there's promise of an ending as the waves follow the greek alphabet, Alpha Wave, Beta Wave, Gamma Wave and of course, at last Omega Wave. Also Californian programmer Peter Adams' little quips at the start and end of each stage help keep it from getting too repetitive. I only made it half way through, playing on my old PC, Omicron Wave and wasn't prepared to try again to reach Omega except I discovered DOS Box save states and reckoned I could stick it out to the end and see what kind of congratulatory message you get.
