"An error occurred while updating the database." when uploading promo art

I found three official screenshots for the game Fracas (DOS) but as I zipped them up and tried to upload, I get the following error message:

An error occurred while updating the database.

I remember similar errors happening a couple years ago.

This happens once in a while for me too, usually re-trying/reloading the page makes it work.

Also - you cannot upload single files (or zip files) > 20MB, this also gives an error, perhaps like this.

I haven't had this error in a while. I am aware of the 20 MiB limit and this is unrelated. I don't remember how this was resolved last time.

Basically when I upload a zip with images, instead of a list I get the fields with the group title and description duplicated twice on the same page.

I did try re-uploading the images, so now there are two incomplete promo art groups for that game.

I think I got this error once when I tried to upload a broken image (which also showed up incorrectly in an image viewer). You may want to check if you can upload the images separately.
