Rik Hideto found out that one of our prominent contributors, LepricahnsGold, passed away in February this year at the age of 52. Many of us met him in the approval queues where he tirelessly chipped away at all kinds of contributions, especially smaller PC titles, for which he also almost always wrote his own extensive descriptions and took screenshots.
We're all but fleeting travellers here, passing by and sharing the same passion, so it is sad to see someone go.
Some of us have been here for decades and he is not the first to go. Many of us still have fond memories of DJP Mom or PolloDiablo, or wonder what happened to Xoleras who visited the site daily for years and then suddenly disappeared in 2009. Together with LepricahnsGold they will live on in all the contributions they made.

Always sad to see one of the regulars pass away :(
I had noticed his updates on the free game giveaways thread had stopped earlier this year, but I figured he'd just shifted focus on something else. I never thought it was something so permanent. :\

This is a surprisingly dangerous hobby!
(Also very odd: seeing that all of those accounts have earned points in the past year!)

He was a good man and constantly shared free game giveaways with everyone. I respect him for that. Fifty-two years is not enough. Not a boy anymore, but not yet a grandfather. I hope he's in a good place now.

Yikes. That is very bad news indeed. 52 is waaay to young to die. RIP LepricahnsGold.
