Running the game in an emulator (MAME in this case) the sound for the saucer flying by is quite a bit louder than all of the other sounds in the game. Was the original arcade game like this as well? Or is that an emulation error/oddity? It's been a long time since I've been able to play Space Invaders in the arcades so my memory is a little bit fuzzy; I don't recall that being the case, but I'm not so sure now.
