1001 Tangram Puzzles is a single player game in which the player places tiles into a picture outline.

There are one thousand and one different patterns to complete. These are divided into ten menus containing one hundred patterns and a single menu with the lone, solitary one thousand and first pattern. Players can choose their preferred pattern via these menus or have the game select a random one for them. There is also a 'magic eye' feature which will show the completed puzzle should the player get stuck.

The game presents a random puzzle to the player when it starts, it does not 'remember' the last puzzle being worked on. When a puzzle is completed the assembled pieces flash green for a few seconds and then the game presents another random puzzle to the player.

The game is played entirely with the mouse. There is no sound, no save game feature, no high score feature.
