Ob alt, ob jung: Die Sims mag jeder gerne. The game also features N-Gage exclusive mini-games, and the ability to upload your score to the N-gage Arena. You can even connect to other players through Bluetooth Wireless Technology and auction off items. Going online or connecting to a friend can also earn you special objects and unlock hidden locations. Overall, I enjoyed playing Bustin’ Out. I believe it would be appealing to all types of people, especially those of you who are already fans of the SIMs.

Graphically the game looks really great, and converting Bustin' Out's areas to the tall-n-skinny screen works perfectly fine. And just to be crystal clear on the score difference, the quarter of a point dock is for the controls being a smidgen less responsive than the GBA version's.

Whoever made the decision to bundle The Sims: Bustin' Out with the Nokia N-Gage QD made the right decision: it's a great game which has transferred well to the portable screen.

I honestly had a good time while playing The Sims Bustin' Out. I never was really big on the Sim games for the PC, but this game adds some adventure settings, which makes it really fun to play. If you are a fan of the Sims franchise I highly suggestion picking up this game so you can play it on the go.

Fans who know The Sims through their PC exploits may be disappointed by the significantly more-straightforward path that The Sims Bustin' Out follows, but what's here is pretty engaging. It's pretty low-key and doesn't rely on a lot of twitchy-action gameplay mechanics, which is perfect for the N-Gage. Certain aspects of the gameplay can become a little tedious over time, and the game could've benefited from a slightly cleaner presentation, but there's really nothing like it on the N-Gage, and it's still good fun, despite its shortcomings.

Still slightly marred by chunky horizontal-scrolling issues, the game remains fun and is a really easy one to pick-up, understand and play through. And since the game isn't action-heavy it's really easy for us to overlook the occasionally drop in frame-rate. The added bonus is that the game is ideal for the on-the-go-playing-with-the-phone-on-the-subway gamer. You can play it for a few minutes, quickly turn it off (the game won't reset until you turn off the phone) and pick up from where you left off.

All is not perfect in Bustin' Out though, because while you'll never run out of things to do, you'll likely run out of patience for those things before too long. The joy of open-ended gameplay usually means that you can pick what you want to do and what you want to avoid. In The Sims: Bustin' Out, you have to juggle so many tasks instead of just being able to focus on the ones that you find the most compelling. It's this fault that keeps this very good game from being a great game.
