Mummy's Curse

The Mummy's Curse is an early color adventure game using a VERB NOUN parser, and features several animated sequences. The goal is to recover the solid goal death mask of King Ruttatuttut, which is guarded by the Mummy.

The player starts at a small oasis in the Sahara desert, which must be returned to regularly, as the player can rapidly die of thirst while exploring the desert. Later in the game, the player discovers a magical ewer, which remains filled with water. During the game, three magical amulets are discovered which grant skills needed to overcome the Mummy's tomb: Horus which gives great strength, Apep which overcomes guardian snakes, and Sma which grants the ability to hold breath. The player initially must explore a desert town, the Pyramid of Satsop II, and Cleopatra's tomb to gather amulets. Then, they need to build a raft to cross the Nile to enter the eponymous Mummy's tomb.

In the Mummy's tomb, the player must overcome various traps to discover a magic scepter. The Mummy is finally revealed, and the player obtains the death mask of King Ruttatuttut.
