Carcharodon: White Sharks

Moby ID: 11943

Description

A horizontal shoot-em-up in the vein of Silkworm; you fly a plane (a 'White Shark' no less) across various terrains killing baddies. The reason this game stands out the most is its innovative attempt at a weapons system, which allows the player to choose from up to 37 million weapon combinations(!).

Trivia

Logo

The designer of the Carcharodon logo was obviously inspired by the Metallica band logo, the one which they used on their Master of Puppets album cover. And the high-score background looks kinda similar to the Ride the Lightning cover art. Just take a look at the first two screenshots.
