Nitro Alert

Nitro Alert is a 1-player science fiction themed arcade game for the Apple II.

The player controls a small tank which scrolls horizontally along the bottom of the screen and fires vertically upwards. The player combats a number of enemies, including: helicopters, small alien craft, and an alien mothership which launches smaller vessels. When the player destroys all enemies, they advance to a more challenging level. The player has 3 lives, and when all are lost it's game over. There are only 5 levels, and after clearing the fifth level the game loops back and repeats an identical fifth level again.
