F1 Manager
- F1 Manager (1996 on DOS)
- F1 Manager (2018 on Android, 2019 on iPhone, iPad)
Description
Manage an F1 team from the 1999 season onwards. You are in control of every aspect of F1 managing, both at the office and on the circuit. You manage everything from sponsors, development, employees etc to testing, car assembly and pit stop strategies.
All tracks, sponsors, drivers, teams and employees have their real names and pictures in the game, adding to the realism factor.
At racing day, you have a variety of camera angles to choose to watch your drivers from, and you can even use the TV view that lets you view the race as it would look on TV. You also have a simple to use interface where you can manage pit stops and driver aggressiveness, and also watch stats on lap times, tire wear etc.

Trivia
Bugs
The game assumes that your computer's clock is set to Greenwich Mean Time - users who have other regional settings have to change to this to avoid the game crashing frequently.
The litres used per lap is spurious and inaccurate.
Factual Inaccuracies
Irvine's nationality is incorrectly listed as "Irish", even though he is not from the Republic of Ireland. His nationality is British, as he is from the UK and drove with a British licence.
On top of this, the game lists the "home nations" of English, Scottish and Welsh, but neglected to add Northern Irish (which is Irvine's ethnic home nation nationality). Formula 1 does not list drivers by sub-nationality. So drivers like Hill (English) and Coulthard (Scottish) should be listed as British.
