The Real Deal 2

Moby ID: 15829

Description

A collection of 17 assorted card games.

The first ten “social” card games are Crazy 8s, Spades, Auction Pitch, Hearts, Cribbage, Euchre, Whist, O Hell, Thirty One, and Pinochle. They were designed in 1995 by MVP Software and are accessed from a single menu. There are twelve animated players to choose as partners or opponents for these games, each with their own skills, voices, and win/loss records. Most of the games use a single fixed set of rules.

The remaining seven are casino and gambling games written from 1992 to 1996 by Centron Software Technologies. They are 7 Card Stud, BlackJack, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Red Dog, and Texas Hold ‘em. These games are accessed individually from the Windows start menu. Opponents are unseen AI routines. Some of the game rules and betting structures can be modified by the player.

Boxed versions of TRD2 also included a deck of playing cards.
