Description
Space Invaders is an unlicensed port of the original arcade source code to the TRS-80 CoCo.
The player must defend the Earth from rows of bomb-dropping aliens. The rows of aliens begin at the right of the screen, and the player controls a laser cannon at the left of the screen. The goal is to earn points by shooting the aliens before they can land. The aliens march back and forth, and each time the end of the screen is reached they will drop one row closer to the bottom. Shoot them all to move to the next harder level. If any aliens reach the bottom of the screen it's game over. A flying saucer intermittently moves across the screen for bonus points. Three shields offer protection from alien fire, but also block the player's shots. The player begins with 5 laser cannons, and it's game over if all are destroyed.
