Fable

Vor langer, langer Zeit lebten einmal die Mecubarz, ein altehrwürdiges, schönes Volk, das mächtig und weise über das Land herrschte. Damals lebten seltsame Wesen, märchenhafte Geschöpfe und Menschen noch in Frieden und Harmonie miteinander, doch dann hielt die Machtgier Einzug und zerstörte alles. Ismael, ein respektierter und geehrter Mann, hatte leider ein sehr leeres, verbittertes Herz, so daß er mit vier Gleichgesinnten ein Komplott zum Sturz der Mecubarz' schmiedete.

Die Mecubarz waren außer sich vor Wut über den Verrat Ismaels und seiner Männer! Mit unbändigen Zorn fingen sie die vier Jahreszeiten ein, sperrsten sie in undurchdringliche Kristalle und schleuderten sie wutentbrannt in alle vier Winkel der zerrütteten Welt, wo sie auch heute noch in der ewigen Gewalt von Eis, Nebel, Wasser & Feuer schmachten. Vier der Verräter wurden in die Verbannung geschickt, doch Ismael ist spurlos verschwunden.

Erforschen Sie in der Rolle des unerfahrenen Abenteurers Quickthorpe die vier Länder der Mecubarz', und begeben Sie sich auf die Suche nach den mystischen Edelsteinen, durch die Ihr Volk befreit wird. Zur Lösung dieser aufregenden, jedoch unvorhersehbaren Aufgabe benötigen Sie eine scharfe Beobachtungsgabe, Geschick beim Lösen von Rätseln und einen wachen Verstand. Interagieren Sie mit einem Universum von Figuren, die durch echte Stimmen zum Leben erweckt werden und eine derart dichte Atmosphäre schaffen, daß man sie spüren kann. Long ago in the mists of time lived the Mecubarz. Ancient & Beautiful, powerful and wise they ruled absolute. Strange beings, magical creatures and humans lived together in peace and harmony, until greed destroyed it all. Ismael, a respected man, and revered by all, sadly had a heart that was hollow and bitter. He and four others plotted to overthrow the Mecubarz.

The Mecubarz' fury at the treason of Ismael and his men was cataclysmic. They trapped the four seasons and put them into impenetrable crystals, casting them into the four corners of the shattered world where they stood still and were held in an eternal dominion of ice, mist, water, & fire. The four traitors were exiled, but Ismael disappeared.

As Quickthorpe, an inexperienced adventurer, your quest is to explore the Four Lands of the Mecubarz in search of the mystical gems that will liberate your people. Keen observation, puzzle-solving skill and quick thinking are the abilities required to undertake this exiting but unpredictable task.
