Real: Another Edition

Real: Another Edition is a Japanese exclusive alternate reality cell phone game from the Project Zero / Fatal Frame series. It was distributed through the i-mode mobile internet service, requiring a monthly subscription of 525 Japanese Yen.

Players take photographs with their phones of their real world environments, superimposing ghosts in them. Players then would "enter" the photograph to see the ghost in a first person 3D environment as they exorcise them by taking well aimed and timed photos of the ghosts like in the other games of the series.

While capturing one of the over 70 ghosts available, the player will be given hints or other messages in their mail about the possible locations where to find one of the ghosts.

The game also allowed players to store photographs they've taken of ghosts on the online server provided.

REAL stands for Reveal, Enclose, Appear, Let's shoot.
