DescriptionTake the role of 18 year old Scheherazade Keating moments before she starts her new life as an archeology student at NYU. Her parents, Henry and Morgana, were renowned scholars and archaeologists, but they mysteriously disappeared some time ago leaving Scheherazade (or Sadie, as she likes to be called) in the care of her millionaire aunt, her stoic butler, and a German "uncle" - a close friend of her parents and an accomplished scientist in his own right.
Sadie has turned out to be a true prodigy: well versed in all aspects of archeology, having an encyclopedic knowledge of many ancient cultures, mastery of several contemporary and dead languages, and even a Houdini-like understanding of magic tricks and sleight-of-hand. With these skills and the help of her friends, Sadie will attempt to rediscover her family's past, while trying to survive in the depression-stricken New York, rediscover lost relics of long forgotten civilizations, and perhaps even find time for a romance.
Your goal is to develop dozens of Sadie's skills (from deduction to horse riding to empathy), acquire inspiration cards (which give a one-time boost to certain skills) and guide Sadie through various adventures (called capers). Your university life will take you from the streets of New York to the deserts of Australia and to the jungles of India. Each location will provide new capers with an ever increasing difficulty. You must manage your time as you can only do a few actions each day, while trying to prepare Sadie for her tasks before she is whisked away to the next location. The story and different adventures progress similarly to Choose Your Adventure games - most obstacles allow for several approaches with may use different skills.
