Description

Call of Duty 3 for mobile phones is a two-dimensional adaptation of the console game of the same name. In eight missions, players control soldiers of the American, British, Canadian and Polish armies during the Battle of Normandy in the summer of 1944. Every mission is a loose adaptation of a level from the console version. Gameplay is objective-based: a commanding officer gives orders that must be completed to finish the mission; markers indicate where the current objective lies. Orders might include attacking enemies, capturing machine gun nests, escorting tanks or defusing explosives. Gameplay mechanics are patterned after the console version: enemies can be targeted for higher accuracy, the player character can switch between standing and crouching positions and use the latter to take cover behind barriers, and health is replenished automatically if not attacked for a while.
